
Yayasan PETRONAS Spreads Festive Joy to Underprivileged Families Across Malaysia Through Uplifting Lives Festive Initiative
KUALA LUMPUR, 5 December 2025 – Yayasan PETRONAS brought festive cheer to the families across the nation this Christmas season, through its Uplifting Lives Festive (ULF) programme by distributing essential and festive food packs to underserved communities.
A total of 2,350 families across 11 states will receive festive food packs for a more joyful celebration as the programme comes in support of the Sejahtera MADANI initiative this year. The festive food packs featured festive cookies, local tea and chocolate malt drink, bringing warmth, and festive cheer to households nationwide.
Shariah Nelly Francis, CEO of Yayasan PETRONAS shared, “Festive celebrations are a time to nurture the spirit of community. Through the Uplifting Lives Festive initiative, Yayasan PETRONAS hopes to bring joy to all who are celebrating.”
Additionally, cookies included in the festive food packs were sourced from entrepreneurs under the Yayasan PETRONAS MEKAR (Memperkasakan Kesejahteraan Rakyat) Programme.
The distribution of festive food packs which commenced on 5 December is being carried out in collaboration with the Welfare Department and PETRONAS’ regional offices nationwide.
This Christmas initiative, along with other major festive celebrations, saw Yayasan PETRONAS distributing festive food packs to more than 13,000 families this year.
