Yayasan PETRONAS welcomes requests for donations for making a difference in Education, Community Well-being and Development and Environment.

Eligibility Criteria

Yayasan PETRONAS welcomes requests for donations (cash and/or in-kind) which aim to make a difference in three key areas:

  • Education
  • Community Well-being and Development
  • Environment

General Conditions

Organisations applying for donations are invited to review the following eligibility criteria and exclusions. Given the large volume of requests received, applications that fulfil the eligibility criteria will be given priority.

*Donation requests must be submitted via PerforMind.
Any other submission method will not be entertained.*

Eligibilitty Criteria

Organisations applying for funds must be registered with the relevant authorities such as the Registrar of Societies Malaysia.
Organisations must be located and operated in Malaysia.
Organisations and agencies may request funds 12 months after the last disbursement.
Organisations must demonstrate direct impact on at least one of the YP’s focus area and be in line with its guiding principles.

The priorities request will be given to the scope as follows:

EDUCATION

We are in the process of reviewing our donation procedures and are temporarily unable to accept donation requests in the education sector. We will provide further updates and details as soon as possible.

COMMUNITY WELL-BEING AND DEVELOPMENT

Promote community well-being and development through long-term sustainable advancements in the areas of socio-economic developments, healthcare, safety and living environments.

Example:

  • Contribution of aid or refurbishment in times of need (poverty/natural disaster)
  • Aid to improve health concerns of the B40 community.
  • Support disease/illness prevention and awareness efforts i.e. cancer
ENVIRONMENT

Promote and advance the preservation and conservation of the environment through biodiversity conservation and carbon neutral programmes, and related studies and research.

Example:

  • Support renewable energy efforts i.e. gas advocacy, clean energy (e.g. installation solar panel, recycle bins)
  • Efforts to preserve and conserve biodiversity/ environment (e.g. purchasing of trees for replanting activities)

Exclusions

In order to further streamline contribution requests, and to ensure donations are provided in a most timely manner, applications from / of the following list of exclusions will NOT be reviewed.

  • Advertising, development or production of books, films, videos, television programmes, or websites/social media
  • Merchandise promotions, partnerships or advertising

Infrastructure
  • Construction of new buildings, new rooms, halls or structures (e.g. playground, hardscape, gazebo)
  • Building roads, pavements or bridges
  • Permanent installation of telecommunications, electrical wiring, pipes or network cables
Consumables
  • Hygiene products (diapers, baby wipes, toiletries, sanitary pads)
  • Food items (formula milk)
  • Medical supplies (gauze, gloves, face masks, medicine)
  • Household items (laundry detergent, paper towels, tissues, trash bags)

Donation's FAQ

In order to further streamline contribution requests, and to ensure donations are provided in a most timely manner, applications from / of the following list of exclusions will be reviewed only after the priority applications are processed. For example, Yayasan PETRONAS is not aligned with any religious or political cause, and therefore filters out requests from such (related) organisations and/or individuals.

What happens if my request for donation is successful?
Yayasan PETRONAS will send a letter to the requestor confirming our decision with corresponding instructions on how the donation will be dispensed.
Yes, we will notify the requestor of our decision or we may be in contact if we require further information.

Yayasan PETRONAS has a fixed budget each year for donation requests. Please carefully consider the amount you are requesting for and how it will impact the lives of the community you serve most effectively.

Yes, it is one time only in each calendar year. Applicant may request funds again 12 months after the last disbursement. If your programme or activity will be run in phases, please indicate clearly in the application the request by calendar year.

We can only consider requests that fit our eligibility criteria and are not in our exclusions criteria.
