Kuala Lumpur, 6 February 2026 –Yayasan PETRONAS is celebrating and sharing the joy of CNY with 2100 families through its Uplifting Lives Festive (ULF) initiative this Chinese New Year season, distributing festive food packs to household nationwide.
The ULF programme is part of Yayasan PETRONAS’ ongoing community wellbeing and development efforts, in line with the Sejahtera MADANI aspirations.
Shariah Nelly Francis, CEO of Yayasan PETRONAS, said:
“Chinese New Year is a celebration of togetherness and harmony. Through our Uplifting Lives Festive initiative, we hope to bring joy and cheer to families during this festive season. Yayasan PETRONAS remain committed to uplifting lives and enhancing the well-being of communities across Malaysia.”
Families receiving the festive care packs could look forward to staples such as cooking oil, rice, chicken curry along with festive items like dry mushroom, rice vermicelli, sesame oil, and taucu sauce.
To add a special touch, families will also enjoy festive cookies produced by entrepreneurs under Yayasan PETRONAS’ MEKAR (Memperkasakan Kesejahteraan Rakyat) programme, which supports income generation and capacity-building for local micropreneurs, demonstrating the Foundation’s long-standing commitment towards creating sustainable livelihoods.
The nationwide distribution, which began on 6 February in Penang, is carried out in collaboration with the Department of Social Welfare (JKM) and PETRONAS regional offices to ensure the timely delivery of festive packs to families across Malaysia.
The Uplifting Lives Festive programme is part of Yayasan PETRONAS’ effort to support community well-being and development across Malaysia.
